Hey, imagine for a second that the figurative barrier which protects your characters from realizing their life is a lie (moreso than usual for some) just broke. Your characters are now privy to the vast knowledge that the internet holds, even those who have no idea what a coffee machine is. How? Well through the theorems of Hermann Weyl, the phenomenon known as worm- shut up. Magic, that's how.

Your character is now equipped with the technology to know everything they ever wanted to about their universe. What should they do with it...? Why, troll the fuck out of everyone else, of course. There's got to be a dirty picture of their arch-nemesis somewhere on the net...

Or you could, y'know, be boring and try to prevent your friend's death. Or google you crush's wiki page and see if you actually have a chance.
That kind of stuff.
