❝ A deer beste with extremely animalistic mannerisms. While at first very skittish and shy in his new environment, Phiun eventually formed friendships with the people around him and came to feel comfortable in his new surroundings. However, with the increased exposure to homini behavior and opinions, a new condition began to manifest within Phiun's mind: An abeo plague known as feralness. Advanced by the continued enforcement of unbeste-like behavior, it was only kept at bay by a few coincidental acts of cruelty and the constant reassuring of a man he considered his mate. It was the rejection of that mate and his inability to let go afterward in a most homini-like manner that pushed him to the tipping point. After making an effort to help his partner in mafia and lying for the first time, he fell into an utterly feral state and attacked a friend. Though he recovered soon after, the incident has scared him so badly that he hasn't come out of hiding since.

As he is now, he is even more skittish than before, bolting at the sight of both friend and foe alike. Plagued by a lack of hunger and filled with constant worry, he is currently very weak and tired, making him easy prey for anyone. He has also come to a rather mistaken conclusion that as an "animal" he cannot in any way coexist with hominis and that all this sadness up until now is a result of thinking otherwise. ❞

Uchiha Itachi "It's okay if you hurt me." Friend and last remaining lifeline. Phiun would never hurt Itachi if he can help it as both homini and beste side abhor the harm of a child. That being said, there is no telling what may happen when feral and Phiun knows this much at least. For that purpose he's distanced himself from Itachi. Even if it's only a tiny chance, he would never forgive himself if he actually brought harm to the tiny ninja.

Arie "Please take care of him." Phiun's "mate." Paired once as penguins with a resulting egg and "child," Arie and Phiun took to the apparent task of caring for their strange young with gusto, treating it as real and alive as any other child they might have. Recently they had a discussion detailing their own lives and upbringings. Realizing that Arie would still continue to care for Ariun until he learned to fend for himself even if Phiun should die gave him the courage to face the eventual fate of all ferals.

Ramona "Thank you." A ram beste with more homini in her than Phiun feels comfortable with. Still, she's very kind and has only ever been helpful towards him, giving him tasty treats and making (what he believes to be) reasonable trades for food and goods. While he may not feel comfortable venturing forth some of his more strange thoughts, he likes her very much.

Originally interested in him due to his hawk companion, Taka, Phiun came to feel a little comfortable around Simon due to his like of animals. What could have been a very friendly and wholesome relationship, however, took a nosedive when- in an attempt to do his part as a member of a mafia team- Phiun lied and ended up going feral on Simon. Delivering a solid kick to his chest and sending him flying with a few broken ribs, by the time Phiun returned to his senses the damage had already been done. Since then, he's felt too scared to go near anyone, most especially the one person he actually managed to hurt.

Kawakami Bansai "I miss you." Animal and caretaker to lover and beloved. For a while there was nothing Phiun desired more than to be by Bansai's side. To keep him warm when he was ill and feel safe in his scent. Bansai gave him a family, a herd in Travis and Hiruma, and gave him the courage to face his fears. Then, on a whim, all of that was taken away. Now the rejected stag and abandoned, he's reverted to how he originally was when he first came to mafia- only much worse.

Hiruma Yoichi (17) "I don't understand." He said they were a herd, that they were a family, and Phiun took it to heart. So when Hiruma later threatened to kill him, he struggled to understand why. To figure out why his family was driving him away for a second time. After failing to understand anything at all, in the end all he took away from their conversation was that "humans aren't animals" and that they do things differently. That he couldn't coexist alongside homini in any way. After that, afraid and not wanting to fight, he just decided it would be better to leave them and anyone connected to them alone.

Travis Touchdown (17) "I didn't mean to hurt you." The person he got the least contact with during the entire affair involving Bansai, Hiruma and them. Warned away because of what might result, the last time Phiun spoke with Travis was to bow his head as the defeated stag. A silent show of submission and retreat. Though it was accepted and there were almost no words shared, it didn't hurt any less. Phiun hasn't spoken with him since and has tried very hard not to think about him at all with very little success.
